PineCone and Triangle Shape Note Singers sponsor a monthly event at the Glenaire Retirement Community. Every 4th Sunday of the month, members meet to go over music. New members and beginning singers are always welcome to join. The music is provided, all you have to do is show up and have a great time! Menchie’s Yogurt open today! Come out for a whole day of fun activities and free yogurt. Everyone that comes by from 11 am to 2 pm will get a free frozen yogurt, chance to get their face painted and time on the bouncy house. The first 50 children get free color-in t-shirts and the first 50 people in line get gift bags with a magnet and Menchie’s t-shirt. Bring out the whole family for a fun morning with delicious treats!

Truly from my heart, I have so much fun going to this annual auction/gala at Prestonwood Country Club. The food is wonderful, the band is always top notch and it is fun to watch people spend their money on such a good cause. If you can’t make it this year, go to www.carychristianauction.org and place a bid on as many items as you like. Hope to see and meet you Friday night.

The deadline to sign up for this trip is Friday, February 3rd! Make sure you sign up soon. February’s Senior Day trip will include a breakfast in the morning at Mimi’s Cafe in Cary, and then a trip to Raleigh’s Meymandi Hall to see Dvorak’s Symphony No, 9. Hear the selections of African American and Native America melodies that inspired this great symphony. “From the New World” follows the national legacy that the Czech composer carries around with him. Before the concert, enjoy the pre-concert talk with concert producer Joseph Horowitz in the West Pavilion Lobby.
