Introducing a new course designed to focus on dancing to control the body instead of everyday therapy. The course is built on techniques useful for persons with Parkinson’s disease. The instructor uses the mind, body, and emotion as well as thoughts, imagination, eyes, ears, and touch to make a more social and fun environment while learning to control the body.
This class is located in the ballroom of the Cary Senior Center and is taught by Sofia Hernandez. The class takes place on Thursdays from 10-11 am. The fees are $44 for returning/registered seniors and $58 for new seniors (per 4 week classes).
The Cary Senior Center is located at 120 Maury O’Dell Place in Fred G. Bond Metro Park off of High House Road in Cary.
